a successful model for them once folks understand it for what it is and the ease of how it works. There will be a little bit of a learning curve with respect to the functions as they are quite different from what we are accustomed to but the ease of use shows their ability to adapt these complications into the Rolex world.
It will be interesting to see if they continue with more complicated pieces. Maybe a perpetual which could really make things interesting, not only for Rolex themselves, but the impact on other brands as well. This could very well open a whole new door for them.
Price point? May be a deal considering it's a first for Rolex. Fifty years from now these first pieces may experience the same type of collectibilty as a sixty year old sub or a forty year old Daytona today.
