Well taken for photos of a beautifully preserved watch! So tell me then, which are the six Pateks in the current collection you would like to own? I am personally partial to the 5959,5950,7000R and 5078G all of which unfortunately are quite unaffordable e... 

......but off the top of my head: 5178G, 5370P, 5650G, 5131R, 5131P, 5372P.

And as usual we differ on our selection but still I like quite a few of your choices even though they are all a tad too large for me.

I have noticed that I have problems feeling comfortable with a watch measuring 39mm or above when it comes to Patek. I have a 5131R which is a tad too large (and believe me I have tried to psychologically convince myself that it fits fine but it does not)...

38.8mm and a good fit 36mm and the best fit ever on my wrist with the wrap around bracelet 39.4mm but the lugs do stick out a little which is a deal breaker for me. Lovely watch though 37mm and locked in my AD safe awaiting my paying it off over a 11 year...

I love the 5170P to be honest, and yes I agree, after wearing a 44mm Panerai for even a day, anything else (apart from a HYT) will seem tiny and light!!

BTW I think your WG perpetual calendar (not the 5940 but the other one) is a 5140 and not 3940, so it should be 37.2 mm if I don't mistake (only the 3940 is 36 mm). Really wonderful collection you have here, and they all look great on your wrist ! Wear th... 

The bracelet Patek is a 5136G and is 36mm (measured at the Patek Salon) and is smaller than the 5140 range. The 5136G lived during the time of the 3940 and a little during the 5140. It was a cross section of the two in that it measured 36mm but had the nu... 

PP confused me with taking the 5140 dial design on that one but you are definitely right of course. But don't worry whether 36 mm or 37.2 mm I'm sure it fits your wrist very well

I was quite surprised how much better the 36mm 5136G fitted my wrist compared to a 5140. And as I do not trust my own judgement at times, I tend to get whoever is assisting me at the Patek Salon to confirm that my eyes are still working

...and not start to compare them or give a ranking. If you would do so you would end up with just one at the end and it would be a pity. Variety between a tightened selection of only the best is certainly far more pleasant ! Congrats again on this one Joe...

Patek Philippe has shown over the decades that it has followed a unique direction, respecting evolutions, sometimes surprises that we take today for something normal but which make what the brand is today. As usual, it isn't possible to please everybody, ... 

....that when one looks at a modern Calatrava, although it is clearly different to its vintage heritage, there is a very definite DNA evident. I appreciate that a lot.

I thought I was done with this brand many, many years ago. But...

.....but if i ididn't feel so strongly I wouldn't have bought them, right? I think there are 5 or 6 vintage Calatravas that are simply outstanding. I also think that for some of them, the price point is remarkably reasonable given what you get. 570 and 25...
