...and it does look large, but the 5959 is 33mm...

at under 9mm in height! The beauty of Patek Philippe!

...still thin considering the complications. The base movement is incredibly thin for a rattrapante (on the 5950A the movement is only 5.25mm). I'm sure the perpetual module adds the rest of the height.

with the perpetual calendar module, the movement becomes 7.3mm high. And yes, you are right that the watch is therefore 12mm plus. I mistook the movement height for the case height.

...although I prefer the purity of the 5950A : )

But for me the 5959 still comes up tops!! To put so much in something so little is mind boggling!

I wish though that Patek kept making them.

The 43mm length includes the lugs. It is a similar case shape to the current 5940.

Can it be a 530?

not find roman numerals hour marker at six and twelve with round dots for the rest. What you do think ?

I have seen 130 and 533 with roman numerals at 6 and 12 with applied dot hour markers but this one is not a 533 as the 533 has a flat bezel. Is the angle making it looks bigger than the 5959?

... is really very „special“. Honestly, a horrible watch and embarrassing for Patek Philippe :-(

...but it has grown on me. And it will probably be crazy valuable at auction in the future. Besides, I am a sucker for that case shape : )

Because they had cost CHF500k new!!

The 5951P mono pusher is approx $350k resale. That is hardly the value at new! Wonder what happened? No demand thus prices on the piece are soft...

do not appreciate in value as they had been priced steeply when new. These are watches to be kept for the next generation and are mainly sold to special clients on application only when new. The 5950 holds its value much better but the opposite has occurr... 

... to find a buyer for these. Several have been on the market for months now, far below former list price :-(
