It’s one of those references where each metal is so different that each watch is almost a reference in itself. If pushed I would go P, G, J and then R. But each one really is so different it’s hard to look in isolation. The J, of course, is the most origi... 

....I think if i was to add one, it would be J. But then, if J was added, you are halfway to the quartet and that just leads to more pain.....

Go for the J, and play it vintage, or... The white metal pair. The foursome? A third possibility, but one thing is sure, once you have the P, things are easier.

For a time a few years ago I was fortunate to own a yellow gold 5070. While I am not a fan of yellow gold watches typically, this one is breathtaking. The contrast of the yellow numbers, hands and markings against the rich black dial make it very striking... 

My preference in term of case color is P, G,J, R. My preference in term of dial color is R, P, G, J. So if they have a Platinum case with the dial from the RG version, I will NEED one . No, the salmon dial on this or on the 5970 do not work for me. That s... 

to protect the wallet . Asking for watches that's not possible is a good excuse for not being able to have one

But I will still have a go... among the regular production variants: P, R, J, G Why G last? Well it is the most conservative and down the middle version. So it loses out to the stronger personalities of the other versions with more vibrant dials... still ...
