FPJ vs PP
I have the FPJ you are considering (38 mm) black label...it is superb. I have had no problems and it as accurate as any of my PPs, ALSs, APs, etc...perhaps more so.
The best advice is get what you love - not what others suggest.
I love the 5127 and someday may get it. I went with the Journe for the look and feel of watch, the innovation behind the movement and design, and the fact that is both absolute and relative terms, it is a rare animal.
On a different note, looked at a 5159 yesterday...wow...my next watch!

It is a big date ;-) : big date does not have to be necessarily big, just ...

I had FPJ Octa, there a was a problem with big date. The watch had been repaired twice. Then sold out. My choice is Patek

Thank you very much for your replies. I think you raised a very important point in the fact the Patek has a long history of reliable movement but FP Journe doesn't. I also read that there were a few issues with Journe, mainly with the first batch of Octa....

...for all of the above reasons. I thought my Richard Lange would quench my thirst for a Patek 5127. It hasn't. I lust after one in white gold. DB Darien
out of production?
I hear the 5127s are gone only whats in inventory at the ADs. I tried to order in rose and was told no way to get them by the AD. I had read earlier they were only put back in the 2010 cat. because a few were still in the factory and earmarked for the US.
