It would be nice to get a clear case back. Write to Patek and ask. I have never heard of them doing this but you won’t know till you ask; I hope they will. Regardless, you have one of the nicest watches ever made. Wear it in good health.

I think a solid back matches this a lot better. It's like a 2449 with a sold back

I think the solid back is the way to go.

Therefore Patek can’t provide a new one. I asked for a 3940

I will contact Patek to see what they say. Based on some comments, seems unlikely to lead anywhere, but no harm in asking. Bob
