Congratulations for your choice ram

and welcome on our Patek forum as I see it is the first time you post here.

Well, I think that many of our members have quite summed-up the issue. It will finally come to your own taste. Though you didn't say what you're looking for, we feel from your selection that the classical calatravas are what attract you.

I also think the 5960/1A is very interesting. Did you remove it because of what your AD said or because it is less you taste? If it is the first one then it may be a bad advice (if you accept buying it second hand). If it is the latter, then you should follow your tastes and go for a refined and classical Calatrava case with the 5146 or 6000.

These two watches are models you can wear regularly (on the contrary to the 5147). It will allow you to enjoy wearing your first Patek everyday.

The Annual Calendar complication is a very interesting one from Patek. Though I prefer it in the 5960, it is why I would choose the 5146 over the 6000.

If you're looking for a more casual look, and more original, then go for 6000.


This being said, if you don't listen to your own tastes enough you might regret your choice in the end.

The 5960/1A is the best technically but not as refined and elegant as a Calatrava for sure. I wouldn't get it new but this is the one I would get... but this is me.
