Patek Philippe

Seldom post in the Patek forum, but today I picked up two gorgeous new Pateks. 5205G I love this watch. The size and layout of the dial are exceptional, and the stylized lugs fit the design very well. I'm usually a sports watch guy, but this will do me go...  

What can be this special occasion which drive you to let the 5131J in the safe? With such a watch, I couldn't wait and resist to wear it ...Immediately! Best, Nicolas

Usually the Pateks come to me already opened. For some reason I just can't bring myself to cut open the plastic on that one.....just yet. Maybe when the 5131G arrives.=)

They are both so beautiful that I'm hard-pressed to know which would go into a safe. But knowing me, I could never be away from either of those beauties for too long....

That way if somehow its got a quirk its on their dime, Be a shame to decide to wear it after warrantty, discover a problem and have to shell out $$$$

I can fully understand your feelings about not opening the 5131 because it comes sealed. I have two different pieces that came sealed and I still have not opened them yet. But you can always take it out of the safe to admire. Enjoy your new "toys". I am e...

If I had to choose between those two watches, I would go for the 5205G - in a second. Regarding watches in plastic, I love to wear my watches and it is a huge part of the fun owning a watch - at least to me. Call me crazy, but it is just my taste You coul...
