Blue dial for me
I have had the blue dial 5960 since january this year and it's hardly been off my wrist - I love it. I prefer it to grey dial version because I like the sportier look and also because the dial feels more harmonious with the centre circle of the monocounter being blue aswell. I found the all-white monocounter on the other versions a bit jarring.
In comparison to the other models I also lust after the JLC EL2 but after briefly getting the opportunity to try it on recently I feel the size may be an issue for me as far as daily wear is concerned. Nonetheless it's an amazing piece and I hope to try it again for a second impression.
For functionality, design, rate accuracy and most importantly wearability the 5960p in blue gets my vote above the other models you mention. They are all great pieces to admire but I'm not convinced I'd wear them regularly enough - an important factor to me when entering such a giddy price range. For example by being able to run the chrono hand continuously on the 5960 means I can use the monocounter as a second time zone, especially when travelling to India which has the extra half-hour time difference. I'm also a fan of power-reserve indicators which is discreetly done, as with all the functions on it.
All in all it's a watch I feel I not only admire but really use. To me it's a definitive Patek with a unique dial design I don't see in other watches or brands. It feels modern yet classical and when i'm old and grey and have sold off my collection I can see this one will most probably remain on my wrist.

Luca-rev, For me, this piece occupies a special place: the most beautiful watch in the world. I don't wear it as often as it's grey brother or the sporty PPs and APs, but when I do, my aesthetic sensibilities are enhanced. Park

It all depends on your own taste, Luca. The blue face is a bit sportier, when the grey dial is a tad more chic. In both cases you won't go wrong. Now, if I had to choose between a JLC Duometre à Chrono or this PP 5960, I would go for the JLC. The mov...

When it comes to a fine chrino, the manual watches you mention are heads above the 5960/5980. Now let's be clear, the 5960 is a wonderful watch. Comfortable, sporty, attractive, all thngs which have been mentioned. Heads over many, many watches. But when ...
