When I read the definition of the verb in the dictionary, it describes how I feel...
I believe that some part of what bewitches me comes from the oval telling of time, reason why this 17th-century English pocket watch from the Patek Philippe Museum caught my eye.
It is called “L'heure ovale ” (“The oval hour”) and features a round Roman hour track surrounded by an oval Arabic minute track.
But I also like it when they extend vertically along the longer distance from 5 to 11,
or from 6 to 12,
or from 7 to 1
or other combinations in between
and, of course, the “smiling hour”.
