Is it true that MR and highly complicated watches are made to order? Call me conservative but I always want to see the watch before I buy and for the MR at least listen to the gong/chime... How long is the wait normally? AD said 3 years!!!!

It deponds on the models of the repeater. It may take 1-1 and1/2 year to produce while The Geneva Salon takes your order.

dont you need to submit an APPLICATION through the boutique/AD to be considered for ownership? I heard Mr. Stern reviews all the applications and decides if you should receive an MR...

From what the AD said to me, yes and you will also need an 'recommendation' from him. Meaning you must have a pretty good relationship with him. That's why I am asking here if this is right.
