But apparently the new 5172G design was inspired from Briggs Cunningham's 1463 (one of two known to exist). Obvious difference in the placement of the subdials, but the heritage is there. Photo credit: Hodinkee ...

How words' perception differ in certain context. We've seen so many re-issue and "inspiration" the word became a cover for "laziness" sad but true.
