… important information indeed. But the strange thing is the matching reference/ movement/ case numbers with the stated sales date. You would confuse the day maybe, but usually not the year (especially as we are talking warranty here, too). Tiffany &Co on... 

I would love to have an authentic Tiffany stamp. But maybe a damaged scrap one. Who ever that grey market person is, if they use that…I don’t ever want to buy anything from them

But if an honest and genuine piece, perhaps the year is wrong as a mistake. It's a human salesperson handwriting the date. It's not like anyone can actually foresee the future and reference number!

… indeed. Will try to retrieve more info from the archives. It‘s either a very odd setting or a very early, special piece. Who would put effort into counterfeiting papers to match an existing and legit watch, and make the watch older than it actually is a... 

Unfortunately, I have had "the pleasure" of seeing fake PP Tiffany, stamped dials, and made papers. As in your case, the price difference between the Tiffany and the normal one is not big, I would bet on a mistake, a date added later, or a pre-release sal... 

Does it have the Patek code?

To clear any doubts on its legitimacy and whether it was simply a typo on the certificate, I'd advise you to contact Patek directly. I'm reluctant to give out internal numbers for obvious reasons, but we have a boutique ('Maison') right there in Shanghai ...

Not sure why? But how come same person writes the last 2 in “2012” differently!!

... and another part of the odd setting. Because, if you put effort into the whole thing, why not write 2019 but a non-production year?
