Thanks for the kind words about my white metal Pateks. Here’s the other half of my collection, in colored gold. The 2569-1J (1957) and the 3941J (1989) are holding up better than I am but probably need service soon. The 5230R reminds me the world is beaut...

Not sure if the term "colored" is an innovation or faux pas, but will think of another anyway.

Note that what’s also interesting is that the more standard “white metal” term doesn’t always involve *white*…but rather usually a grey hue, again depending on alloy composition👍 Both this document and Patek itself in fact denote it by “Grey Gold” (and it...
