After reading your initial post and many of the replies,

 

I agree with you that PP should make every effort to bring all services, for modern or vintage watches, they promote on their website to the agent in India.  If they cannot provide all the services to their Indian distributor, then maybe they shouldn't be there at all.

If there wasn't an agent in India, your problems would be just that.....your problems.  However, that is not the case, and clearly Patek should bear the responsibility to ensure their distributor is equipped to deal with any issues regarding their product....period.

I can certainly understand your frustration and the advice given regarding writing a letter to the Sterns is a step in the right direction.  I'm sure they would feel the same way if they were in your shoes.
