Absolutely brillant .......
I just love Patek for their innovative ideas , cause they just PLAY us right down to the bone. I like the way they split us consumers up, so there are now multi-levels of customers. I am curious if Mr. Clapton has to put in his application for limited editions such as 5131, 5550. Surely, he will need approval from his AD, follow by a hand written letter by Mr. Clapton, then awaits Pateks acceptance, follow by an extentive waiting time before taking delivery of his dream watch.
Just like all of us !! Ha.

I think it has Arabic numerals?

the regular 5970 has markers only.
this one has arabic numerals like those on a 5004. I like them a lot better, personally.

Thanks for sharing such a great story! Naturally it makes perfect sense as smart investors get rare Pateks, important Ferrari cars, artwork, historic documents, etc. Nowadays with declining currencies it makes even less sense to hold on to US Dollars/Euro...
