About 5196P
Nov 17, 2015,03:12 AM
I saw it once in the metal and quite heard about owners feedback here and there.
To sum-up, people are amazed by the dial look and by its refinement.
The case is also very sober and elegant, very understated, but not boring. I like that.
Note that the watch has a solid caseback.
As for the numbers, Patek Philippe never communicates about volume figures. You can find guesses but nothing for certain imho.
Here is a nice review of François-Xavier in case you're interested: www.watchprosite.com

Remember you can also use the links (in grey) for other posts about the 5196P, in which you can maybe find some additional information.
Have a nice hunt and keep us informed!
Cheers, Mark

thanks for pointing me to the right direction. Pretty much explains and sums everything up...now, just have to make the final decision...man life is indeed tough!
My pleasure and you're welcome :)

Yes, you'll need a little time to decide, that's not a problem but part of the pleasure in a way. Cheers, Mark
It is gorgeous

I am a big fan of all iterations of the 5196 as they are all gorgeous. They wear quite a lot larger than what the case size implies. I would recommend it any metal any day. The P is quite special I must admit, so stealth and elegant. And so much Patek DNA...
I used to love mine a lot. I planned to keep it, but fate didn't want so.

The dial is top, the case is very much my taste, as well as the solid case back. The issue? The movement, not at the level of the watch, IMO, but at least, the rest of the watch was so cool that I adored it. Here's a picture of my ex " P ". Now you should...
I tried it once...

The one & only 5196P
By: fnk : November 19th, 2015-02:56
I'm not a pro, or a collector. Just an enthusiast. the 5196 P is pretty much my only "upmarket" watch. (I have some old & some newer 3 hand, hand wound watches). Spent a long time trying to figure it which one to get. And then took a long time waiting for...
