After the chronographs shot I posted here , I wanted to share a group shot of the 2 World Time based references: the 5230G and R together with the 5930G . I was very impressed by the 5230 pieces. They leave a masculine and elegant feeling that makes them...
For me, I also find the 5230s look more modern because they do not have the crown guards. Their hands are also very lovely. I do like the 5930 and, as stated previously, wishes that its chrono function could measure more than 30 minutes. Perhaps if it mea...
i've a crazy idea, but i think we might just see it on some watch one day (or i hope :P ): add a 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 window-counter to count which set of 30-minute the chronograph is activated on. so in effect, it can count up to 4.5 hours! and i doubt that...
I share your appeal for such complication. Patek masters it very well considering the traditional legacy of such a brand and the way they master the volumes of the watches they offered (which is a complication on its own versus making big sized watches). ...
Several Patek pieces we've been offered shared a common case style during the 1990's, 2000's until now. In the mean time, there has always been a line-up of straight-lines cases like the 5196/5296/5396 for instance (or recently the 5235G with a case very ...
Perhaps with the R&D efforts of Patek and the advent of technology, someday in the future a thinner mechanism and longer measurement period might be available in a WT. Fingers crossed ! Cheers Gordon
In the mean time, I think that overcome obstacles in the traditional way is also something interesting when dealing with classical watchmaking. The difficult choice for instance between bringing a little bit of silicon or dealing with traditional material...
on the previous models a dark centre was reserved for the P model. With the new models it is available on all models. On your pictures it is looking good from the distance though. Thanks for the pictures. Best Moritz
I found the middle tone of grey very refined and not intrusive at all. The fact it is a little "satin" (not glossy and not matt either) makes it perfect to me. But I understand from your post that you have a specific feeling about the fact the center rema...
How not be in the mood to enjoy a WT acquisitions moment. Looking forward to seeing what you went for as you usualy have a very precise reason why you do things. Cheers, Mark
Do you think the pattern is a bit mild on the 5230? I didn\'t hold the watches but saw them behind the glass at Basel world.I think the pattern is much clear on the 5930 Best, Ahmed
