....and an end of a era/ phase of this size (36 mm) or smaller size complications after which its all the bigger sizes which I personally don't care for.May be in the future preferences and demand will go back to smaller sizes? Not in the forseable future though, according to Thierry Stern when I asked him recently.

That era was a GREAT time for Patek Philippe and even when the 5004 looks odd to some it is a true classic, I agree Roni. Thanks! Oliver

when you compare the 5004, 5970, 3970, 2499, etc., with the new 5204 and 5270, the latter are so plain, in my humble opinion. Thank you so much for sharing this rarified piece that few of us will get to see in real time.
