Patek Philippe

Hi guys, I have a question on the renowned Patek calibre 240. The patek website puts the year at which the calibre is awarded the patent was in 1977. But watching the Piaget purist video, a similar calibre was done by Piaget in 1957 called the calibre 9P.... 

Somewhere in the mid 50ies... I would say 1955 / 56, with the Cal 215. Now, to know if and how Patek took an inspiration for their Cal 240, that is another question. I have no answer here. Best, Nicolas.
