A pure dream of a watch
During a short stay in Paris last week, I was able to see and try on many watches about which I will post in the coming days/weeks.
Among them was this rose gold Patek Philippe ref. 1415 HU, a model I thought I would never see in real life (and to which I have dedicated a previous thread here).
The following details make it particularly remarkable:
- It has a flame hour hand, a feature that is more usually found on the enamel dial models, whereas "regular" dial models often have a circle hour hand.
- It has applied, not painted, Roman numerals and markers.
- It has applied dots at 12 and 24, instead of a sun at 12 and a moon at 24.
A pure dream watch for me, one I would have taken home if it had been in my price range.
The case measures 31 mm and the world time bezel is a delight to rotate.

but the price is too high for me to consider it reasonably. I'll concentrate on the 5098 or 5100: things aren't yet completely settled in my mind.

In the metal the condition is actually better than it looks on your pics due to light reflection. Of course it is not in NOS condition due to the age of this beautiful granny but the bezel and case is actually ok and the overall condition of the watch qui...
