Patek Philippe

A pure dream of a watch

During a short stay in Paris last week, I was able to see and try on many watches about which I will post in the coming days/weeks.

Among them was this rose gold Patek Philippe ref. 1415 HU, a model I thought I would never see in real life (and to which I have dedicated a previous thread here).

The following details make it particularly remarkable:
  • It has a flame hour hand, a feature that is more usually found on the enamel dial models, whereas "regular" dial models often have a circle hour hand.
  • It has applied, not painted, Roman numerals and markers.
  • It has applied dots at 12 and 24, instead of a sun at 12 and a moon at 24.
A pure dream watch for me, one I would have taken home if it had been in my price range.

The case measures 31 mm and the world time bezel is a delight to rotate.

Best, Emmanuel
