Guess in certain stage of our horology journey, consolidation is inevitable.
2525 and 3800 are excellent choice of time only Patek. Though it will be nice to keep one complication reference, say 5050 too. It’s display is relatively easier to read and complication (esp perpetual calendar) is the pinnacle of Patek.
Apart from readability, the crown size is another area that my preference has evolved with age. I start to like larger crown, which is much easier to manipulate and with much better tactile sensation while winding.

IMO the 5050 has a great design with the retrograde and apertures except that information from the
apertures are very challenging to read 😅
What a magnificent two-watch collection that anyone would be very very luck (and proud) to have!
I cannot think of anything else I would want if I had these two! The question is if you had to choose just one to used for a year which will it be?
The 2526. Just something so about this Reference. The history of the automated movement inside (Patek’s first), the creamy enamel dial, the case and dial design, the big screw back case. I could on. It’s a bit of a love affair.
It is the Reference that launched me into all the other Pateks.
