A few Patek Philippe sector dial marvels
Here are seven different rectangular watches, only one of which is modern, and all of which have a wonderful sector dial.
Do you like them as much as I do ?
And do you have a favorite?
Best, Emmanuel
A/ RECTANGULAR-SHAPED YELLOW GOLD CASE NO. 404 FROM 1934 The
hard enamel sector-like hour markers in the center of the dial resemble
cat whiskers.
The '7' appears to be a modified upside-down '2'.
Beautiful curved long Patek Philippe & Co. signature.
Caliber
9-90.

The
engraving on the back commemorates the
flight of the
French seaplane the
Croix du Sud from
Cherbourg, France to
Ziguinchor, Senegal.
Lieutenant de vaisseau
Henri-Laurent Dalliere, a French aviation legend, presumably purchased or was given this watch upon his return to France.

C/ RERENCE 10 WITH ENGRAVED YELLOW GOLD CASE AND BUCKLE
A very unique reference 10 from 1927.
Contrarily to most ref. 10 examples, which feature either exploding numerals or Art Deco-inpired Arabic numerals, this example has a sector dial without any numerals.
26 x 37 mm case.

The
caliber is unfortunately
round and not shaped (photo from another white gold example).
