My local dealer has a yg 5107, I must say this watch never impressed me until I saw it in person. It is an eyecatching piece, a rare combination of elegance and ruggedness, with a sapphire back This is posssibly my next watch. I think it is important to see a watch in person before deciding. Again this is just my opinion. good luck in your selection.

i may be mistaken on this, but i seem to remember hearing from a jeweler that all white gold pieces, be they watches, bracelets, etc., are rhodium plated. i think she mentioned that "pure" white gold doesn't have much luster to it. is this correct?

How long it may take to have to have your wg watch replated is the $64,000 question. I suggest it may be 20 or 30 years....maybe longer before it would be required, if at all. Are there any wg owners here who have replated their wg watches? I've not heard...
