Yes- you are right 👍. I remember when I bought them it was early serial- the ones I miss- both an early 3940 and 3970- I’m bummed to not have them any longer- regret the decision. Was looking at a RG but it isn’t the same to me as a white metal or YG

Sadly I no longer own this 1st series. With only about 100 made, 2 tone dial and snap back the 1st series is very special and historically important. Mine had a solid snap back.

Yes mine is a solid back too, a friend has a 3971 snap but missing the two tone dial unfortunately !

Last I know it was in Japan but that was several years ago.

I think the Rose gold is a nice in between ! and for the money you save compared to a white metal you can get a 3940j first series to go along with it haha
