Guys the sun has been out again today here in the UK so after a hard day at work I have been doing my favorite pastime...... Sitting in the sun on my decking with a bottle of wine, my camera and a box of watches... ... Here are the results.... Life used t...  

I personally prefer the 5970G but if I have to have 2 of these watches, I will definitely choose the P and the R. One "Sporty", one Elegant. *CL

What's next?

In an horological way, I presume, because I wouldn't have such a problem with this kind of collection... But maybe you feel it is too hard to live with those watches. In this case, I would happily help you, and keep some for you. You see? Life is so simpl... 

The chrono bias is mesmerizing. But tell me, have you ever been tempted to the dark side? Something like a seadweller or maybe a very early submariner like the 6204 or of that ilk? Ever a temptation for something totally different? I ask because, like you... 

You are tooooo modest, man! That is a one of the most beautiful collection I have seen. Cheers!

its saying "Who's the Daddy". Astonishing set of chronos. I keep looking at those pictures.... but Miles, just for quirkiness....you need a seadweller in there.

Had most Vintage Rolex yes including SD, PN`s , Early Chronos, Mil subs...etc..... And have come full circle to this.......... Enjoy every last one of them... Love the rare Porcelain 16520... And love my Bling..... Regards Miles...

As having all the papers etc and the watch being in good shape is now more important than ever with Rolex. I love the 1655 and think it has a great 70`s retro style all of its own......As far as the 5960p goes I like the original dial much more mainly bec...

I have one son, a 5970P and a 5070P..... but oddly its the latter one that holds the emotion for me, so most likely to be given to him. The good thing is, he is starting to like collecting watches....so maybe no need to sell anything EVER! If you had to k...

because i hear so many people champion the 5970P above all else. For me the 5070P is my PP grail because it holds "something special" for me. So i mean "oddly" in teh sense that i suspect a lot of people might not understand that choice.

had to work very hard to make teh lemania movement NOT look ridiculously small in that 5070 case. It fits the 5970 case so much better. However, having said that, i think the "flaws" in the 5070 are a very big part of its charm. I think the multi-level be... 

Although the movement is quite small (for the case) it works perfectly..... I consider the 5070 as the ugly duckling..... Its "flaws" (as you pointed out and as Nicolas has also pointed in his recent review) are part of its charm..... Both its multi-level... 

Hi, 5070 and 5970 are ended but not the 5004 and 5971. PP still has (and probably will have for a while) Lemania based calibres. When they will have the capacity to serially produce enough of CH29 calibres to make the perpetual and split seconds versions,... 

I was under the impression that they had a few lemania movements left...... Still though, 5004 & 5971 are limited production watches..... besides it is always interesting to see in-house movements... although PP modified/refinished the lemania movements.....

a favorite is difficult...... I would hate to have to pick one but I guess if I did??????? My Rolex moonphase 6062 from original owner with all paper work......... I guess this is simply because I could replace all the others by making one phone call and ...  

You need to hunt a 1518 J and you will forget all about the Rolex ;-) Best, -- Richard....
