Thanks for the report FX!

It is a pleasure to see these beautiful pictures of these watches. The 5205 is a true beauty, one of the most beautiful annual calender. It has this modern touch that the other don't have.

The blue dialed version of the 5960 seems to be very desirable. I like the gray version too, but the blue and red markings on the chrono subdial have always disturbed me. Why on earth did PP choose to use these colours on this dressy watch. With a dark gray or black marking, the watch would be perfect IMO. In the blue dialed version, this is no longer the case, even if the fill-in of the inner section of the chrono dial makes it more sporty.

But I fully agree with you, what a year for PP!

Cheers,

Sébastien

 By: foversta : April 21st, 2010-13:39
Thanks to Patek Philippe France, I had the opportunity to see a large part of the 2010 novelties. I would like today to present you the pics I took of the Annual Calendars. I wished to start with these watches for three reasons: I consider the Annual Cale...

Excellent pictures indeed of those beauties! Two observations/questions: Does the 5205 have a screw or snap back? It looks unlike any other Patek backs sofar. Any reason that the 5960 still comes with a Geneva seal whereas the 5205 already has the PP seal...

Wow, what great pics

thanks so much. The 5205 is really a new classic. The darker dial... whew! It's fun to like a new Patek! I'm still 'weirded out' by the layout of the day/date/month, especially the 'smashed' month font. but... clearly, this is a gorgeous, gorgeous watch.....

I must second the above comment.....................

What fantastic photos. And out of ALL the releases from this years Basel Fair, the 5205 is most definately my favourite. My wife and I (along with other invited guests) have been invited by my AD to an exclusive evening exhibition, which is being held by ...

5205 seems a must-buy this year. But which version would you guy choose? Also, I wonder how the RG version will look (next year?).

Year of the chronograph and annual calendars...

I thought Patek Philippe called their 2010 year, the year of the chronographs. However, I like that you've renamed it to the year of the annual calendars. Thank you for pointing this fact out. Depending how one constructs an annual calendar, it is complet...

Those new annual calendars from PP are stunning timepieces. The 5205 makes me dream of the untouchable 5207. I really like those windows to show te information. What to say about the Pt 5960? If you like blue dial watches, Patek has improved the unsurpass...

Thank you..

Patek Philippe 2010: Year of Chronographs AND Annual Calendars

 By: MTF : April 22nd, 2010-17:28
FrX, Thanks. Patek Philippe made it a difficult choice in 2010 by introducing a large range of both chronographs (own movement) and annual calendars. Maybe we should choose the combination chronograph annual calendar as the best Patek Philippe novelty.......

wow!!

Thank you for your images and your great post. Usually I am not a big fan of annual calendar, but I must say that those pieces are splendid, specially this 5396 I enjoy so much the 5980/1, his shape, colors, functions and layouts do continuously put a hug...

One might surmise it to be the year of the 'aperture' annual calendar.

A fantastic report of, what seems to be a revolution within PP in terms of complication release. I have to admit that it took me some time to warm to the new AC designs, but yes, they are beautiful. As for the nautilus AC, it is taking me a little longer ...

I was fortunate enough to see the display model in the London PP boutique yesterday. I too found the concept of a Nautilus AC somewhat strange, but when you see this model in the metal it is quite outstanding. The symmetry of the dial, the colour, the pro...

Phatastic watches, Fr Xavier! The 5205 in light grey dial looks phantastic. And the 5960 with the blue dial is just amazing...it looks perfect on your wrist, i have to say. You should get one, IMO. With regard to the Nautilus: i like the idea of a annual ...
