Orbita watch winders

Mar 16, 2019,07:24 AM

Does anyone else have a Orbita watch winder? I bought a Sparta MINI winder (electric) because I have only one watch thus far.

After a few days on the winder, even though the winder is still operating in motion, the watch stops and I end up manually winding the watch anyway.

Any thoughts?

Firstly, check your watch to see if the watch rotor winds in only one direction. Often the rotors move in both directions but wind in one. Make sure that your watch is fully wound before placing in the winder. Also, if your winder winds in both directions...

If you go to the Orbita website they have a watch database

See if your watch is listed or one with the same movement. That will provide information on direction and number of rotations.

I have several and have used them for 15 years

As another poster suggested, go to the Orbita site and make sure that your watch is listed and that you have the switches on your winder set properly. Not all watches are happy on a winder (especially 'manual wind' watches - I made that silly mistake a co...

I know for Patek, the winder has to rotate counter clockwise.

So far that’s my experience and I learned that from this forum.
