18kt Gold, $725

Those were the days. Seems like $725 today will get you a nice alligator strap and maybe have a little lunch money left over. I can remember when the Rolex Submariner was about $800.

Gorgeous.

Looks daring and great and even goes perfectly with the period box. Also thanks for posting the extremely interesting ad, which also confirms that

these boxes date back to the 1950s. Wasn’t quite sure about that until now. Also the statement “Telephone Inquiries Receive Prompt Attention” says volumes about how in the 1950s Pateks were not exactly flying off the shelves. Best, Patekova ...

what a box case !

many thx - yes the ad confirmed correct for me too

i also have idea on color / defo two red&black but ads from time hard to distinguish as not in color! i also have brochure from the box maker Vauduax. Red is rarer i suspect platinum/white pieces goldbergers 2526p Vauxdaux material - i do suspect a batch ...

Thanks for the additional information and images. I have one more photo for you, the black version. Interestingly, while the box has no indication

 By: patekova : February 6th, 2024-17:01
of who manufactured it on the back of the box is embossed the following “BOX MADE IN SEITZERLAND” ...

yea i know a little about it

recent buy from italy? interestingly ive looked at this rather too closely! The only ones ive seen in historical ads have a button push clasp. amazingly like vintage womens bags can be dated by that button fixture. The RG button - unmistakable vintage ...

All very interesting. Definitely not a recent buy from Italy. All the vintage boxes I have I bought many years ago when these items were readily available at watch

shows. As far as the lack of a clasp it looks to me like one of the images from your original post shows a box without the clasp. Best, Patekova

yup ive bought things wasnt convinced about
