I would say it is OK for some light swimming...
assuming the water resistance is 120m. I would not use it for diving though.
Also make sure to rinse it thoroughly with normal water afterwards as you don't want the salt water causing any trouble.
If you REALLY want to go diving with a watch, you can always get the Rolex Deep Sea Sea-Dweller. It should help you get down to the bottom reaaal fast.
