Interesting. And how you described the interactions with the founder and brand is encouraging, something we all want I think but not always possible or not always a priority (for the brand).
I could see it being a watch I like too. Although tourneau shaped cases are not great on my wrist unless they are pretty small.
Looking forward to hearing more about it in due course.

A wonderfully substantial nugget on the wrist, and I wanted to compare the feeling to the Lorige.
I love this RG Tonda Chronograph as is, date and all. BUT...
if Parmigiani offered to remove the date, would I do it? YES, absolutely. Only because it would make an outstanding watch even better.
It would be thinner for sure, although...
...I really like how they matched the date background to the sub-dials...
The watch has so many textural details, and yet, it does not feel overdone
Quite delightful in person.
I would declare it my power duo...
But I am afraid the Survivor would then have something to say about that! ;-)
