Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti
Hello everybody,
Today I wanted to make you discover or rediscover the range Bugatti of the manufacture Parmigiani Fleurier, Bugatti being a partner of PF since 2001. In order to do so, I will wrote a small presentation of 3 models, once a day during 3 days.
The first one is Type 370, made and assembled with 370 components, after 3 years of Research and development. It was first presented in 2004; 6 sapphire crystal are situated all around the watch which was thought to be build without a crown, with one horizontal transmission axis, rewindable thinks to a special tool. 10days of power reserve for those who do not like rewinding their watch every morning :p
On one side, the hour display, and on the other, the he mechanism which is absolutely magnificent. For information, Bugatti had made a call for tenders to find a watch-maker partner well-known for its know-how, as high as their car and aeronautical manufacturings.

had anything coming close in terms of bold and creative designs (other than maybe Vianney Halter)
Absolutely, the Bugatti was one of the very first 'super-watches'...
which paved the way for many, many things to come, lest it be the entire MB&F thingy. Truly a visionary piece. I have an image of the original one on my hard drive at home. Will share it later. Magnus
my thoughts
To be honest, i was never into Parmigiani's watches, just couldnt find one that clicks with me. Except for Bugatti Super Sport, that for some reason i m quite fond of it, except for its price tag....
