because it costs less and doesn't have the linear power reserve display which I never really have warmed up to over these past years. If I had to buy one, it'll be the 312 for sure. - AT

2 different Watches that have different complications. i'm wondering why you didn't pick another GMT Model like the : 320 Vs 233.??! (in terms of almost the SIMILAR complications) Tony

.....the two I would much prefer the GMT, 8-day, and manual wind features of the 233. Just my 2 cents

As others have said, manual wind is the collector's choice as value is far better in the future. Plus, the movement aesthetics compliment the watch well. I'd take either if the deal was right! Not big on date wheels for Panerai though. Maybe if it were mo...

The 312 is for sure very nice, but I prefer the 233 which does remind me of the 1950s... it is quite a unique style with the cristal saphyr's shape !
