I would have to see an Elegante in person to fully understand the appeal, because on photos I don’t like it as much as other FPJ.

Exactly the same for me. I’ve always preferred the classics just a bit, but once I saw the Élégante on someone’s wrist—and then tried it on myself, feeling the weight (or rather the lack of it)—I fell in love with it right there. It all made sense instantly. That said, I’m firmly drawn to the white dial versions with blue hands; to me, they carry that strong Journe DNA rooted in the classics, significantly more so than the newly released black dials and white hands.
