Help with my FP Journe Optimum
Hi
Im after some advice. Recently I posted some pictures of my Optimum. Ive only worn it a couple of times. Today i wound the watch and stuck it on my wrist. A few hours later i realised it wasnt working. The time was still as I set it.
I think the Optimum still works when the crown is pulled out? Can anyone confirm?
Anyway I pulled the crown in and out a few times over a period of an hour and it suddenly came back to life...... any ideas? Ill keep an eye on it but ill be gutted if it has to go back as im still waiting my another Journe to come back form the manufacture

try demagnetizing it?
I had a Journe way back when that stopped and wouldn't restart, after demagnetizing the problem vanished and did not reappear. Worth a try I guess,

Good advice, Andreas. Demagnetizing is always worth a try and is harmless.

FP taught me a trick if that happens. Hard to explain here, but I’d call the boutique and I’m sure they can help.
I wouldn't worry about watches not worn that don't start immediately - it's very common
Wind the watch at least 20-30 turns, then holding it horizontally in your hand (as if on the table), twist the watch back and forth a few times gently, a few inches in each direction. That normally gets the movement going. It that doesn't work, then talk to your dealer.

I had no experience with a magnetized watch.
I hope your Journe only need a demagnetize treatment.
My Tissot fell a long time ago.
Why the movement did not work where bowed hands.
So maybe a shock can do harm, and me was told by a friend that mostly the balance wheel is the softest part that have a hard time when slipped off a wrist.
Over winding is another danger.
