F.P. Journe

Tonight Mr FP Journe and the Hour Glass Singapore hosted a cocktail party for customers of the Hour Glass.

It was a very casual and fun evening with fellow PuristS and watch lovers in Singapore, many of whom are fans of independent watch makers.

Singapore really has many lovers of independent watches. Now that FP Journe is distributed in Singapore once again, I am sure it will sell very well in this market, which is a very mature and advanced market for watches.

I didn't see the "entry level" chronometre bleu which is my favorite FPJ. Hope to see it in the metal some day

With Stefan and all you in Singapore fellow hobbyists of watches. Bought a hamilton and tissot for my sons when i was in Singapore great country should visit again. I have niece in Singapore when i go there we should meet even just for coffee. Warm regards to all of you in Singapore.

Meeting a legend in person! I admire Mr. Journe for his innovation, artistry and craftsmanship of fine watchmaking.

I must admit, however, that aesthetically his watches do not sing to me that much. The movement and the dial are amazingly beautiful, but the crown, numeral's font and the hands' shape are not my thing.

But of course this is just my personal taste, which should not, can not, and will not take away my admiration for Mr. Journe. This message has been edited by Luis6 on 2016-04-01 17:06:52

Actually the main watch in FPJ that attracts me is the chronometre Bleu which happens to be their entry level watch (but done in so much style I will hardly compare it to other brand's entry level pieces). The rest of the collection I am still adjusting to their dial design too to be honest

And we are so excited Mr Journe is back!

Great to see all these pictures! He was in the HK boutique and Stephen, Jonathan, Michael and Agnes were generous enough to hold on to a white Elegante for me during March in order that I could surprise my wife by taking her in to the boutique to collect it in person when Mr Journe walked in....she didn't know anything about this so was very surprised! We had visited the manufacture in Geneva last year and were hosted by Masa who escorted us on a private tour but Mr Journe was travelling at the time. This therefore was a real pleasure to meet him in person. In addition to several photos with both my wife and I he kindly signed the warranty card in person! A very special day! Naturally I wore my CB to the boutique. I'm very much hoping to add to my collection...
