I understand why you love it, it is a kind of perfect combo between traditional watchmaking and a very contemporary approach.
Yes, it is true, the legibility is not as good as with the other version since the contrast between the hands and the movement is lower. But at the end, do we really buy a watch to read the time? I had the chance to wear it and it was ok. But I remind more the aerial feeling given by the movement!
About the strap, no problem to order a bespoke strap to a strapmaker, the only point is to choose it flat and with the right shape. Not the easiest to do by the way.
But I would like to tell you: take the plunge!
