Cartier presented a rather unusual trio within the Santos-Dumont XL line. Three precious metal cases, three stone dials, and three different stone numeral sets.
This is the rose gold version, limited to 200 pieces, powered by the manually wound 430 MC.
the case is in platinum and cabochon is a red ruby, and the Roman numerals are made of jasper. I’m not sure whether that might be too much for a men’s watch.
I first saw this watch in 2024 on the wrist of the Managing Director of my AD.
It caught my eye immediately. I was completely fascinated. When I asked him if there was any chance to acquire one, he told me that this model was so special that it had sold out right after Watches & Wonders and that I would have no chance of getting it anymore.
You should never say something like that to me. 😎
It instantly triggered my hunting instinct, and I did everything I could to track one down. As you can see, successfully…. LOLLL
