but you are right about the difference in the minutes track. The size difference aside I do still envy the pommes hands on your model - they remain a better fit for this particular model IMO. I also assume that the CPCP version has a different movement, no? Interesting that Cartier decided to go back to the traditional "large" size for the most recent Tonneau model. Do you happen to know why they did not retain the XL case size from the CPCP version?
Thank you for the diplomatic correction. Iâve taken to typing without thinking. Some would say thatâs been my usual practice for years. When I tried on the Tonneau, I was surprised by its effortless and comfortable fit, because watches with long lug-to-lug distance typically donât work on my wrist. A stunner.
Their haute horlogerie capabilities are underestimated by the public (yet sometimes but overrated by Cartier itself).
My daughter has a Cartier Tank Cartier and age was and is extremely happy with it. The Royal links and celebrities now almost going back 100 years wasnât that important to her. She simply loves the case the dial the strap. Just perfect.
Until recently I had a strict policy of only owning one watch per brand. But with my third Cartier on the way in the mail, I think it is time to formally abandon that policy.
The virus has kicked into the kids as well (hmm kids is probably bad choice of wording considering they are 31 and 33).
We have quit a few brands in our collection with just one watch. Mostly bought it while back just for the sake of it. No real strategy nor much thinking about it.
And then there are few brands in which we have a keen interest, for all kinds of reasons.
The top brand for both of us is Vacheron Constantin (we now got 7) second brand is Blancpain (both have 2) and then our ways part a bit.
My wife firmly believes that her 3rd brand is Rolex than Jacques Droz. I disagree because she has no Rolex (had one got stolen) she has 1 JD
However she has 3 Cartier, which she continuously forgets to mention, and most of the time she is wearing her Cartierâs haha
