In a previous thread, I postulated that the Piaget Upstrream was heading towards Hollywood legendary status like James Dean..... click here
It's true; it has! (See below)

aaron,
Indeed, the Upstream has ceased to be.
Production was stopped in 2007.
It is an ex-model at Piaget. It is a dead sales proposition.....
In the words of the Monty Python Flying Circus sketch:
It's not pining, it's passed on. This parrot is no more! It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace.
If you hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot.

I've been running a little campaign to revive the Upstream click here
But it is a 2-edged sword of damocles:
On one hand, I would love to see a re-edition for the sheer enjoyment for Piaget fans.
On the other hand, it would dilute my investment in an iconic piece that is not so common. Also, we should move forwards for innovation and design rather than look backwards as PuristS.
What to do? Which is the more PuristS action?
Regards, MTF
For the good of the many, at the expense of the few! That is the most charitable course of action, yes?
The salmon dial is very handsome, also! I know your thoughts on that, of course...
LOL!
Daos
Just like how many brands have made re-editions of former past models.
My 2 cents,
Anthony

Hi Art,
You and Porsche are thinking alike. While they are not bringing back air cooled engines, or the 72 911Carrera, they are bring out a car that borrrows much from that car's looks. Its the 911 Sport Classic equipped with the "ducktail" spoiler and fuchs style alloy wheels. Unfortunately, a few reports said it will not be available in the US and its price is pretty steep at a projected $169,000 Euros.
Best regards,
Dino
The Upstream is very cool piece of Piaget history. Its been several years since I've seen one in person.
BTW, great skit, although one of my co-worker prefers "The Cheese Shop."
Best regards,
Dino
