Bracelet Help!!!
I need some help/advice on a Rolex Model: 16013, Caliber 3035 with Jubilee bracelet. This watch is in beautiful condition and just serviced but unfortunately the bracelet is worn and stretched beyond repair. I just telephoned Rolex service in New York and found out that they no longer repair bracelets in this state but they will trade the bracelet in and provide a new one for $3450.
That is a lot of money for a watch that would struggle to appraise at the price of the trade-in.
One suggestion I have been told is to purchase a NOS or used Rolex bracelet. I see those run about $1500 but who can you trust? I guess then you could dismantle the bracelet if you wanted to and sell the gold. Any other suggestions?
Yellow leather strap must look great
Prices here in Argentina for a jubilee link is aprox. 35 dollar for every link . But I would put a yellow or kaki strap I imagine it must look great .

I think you can go with a crocodile/alligator strap black or brown with a Rolex buckle if you are more of a dressy guy. If you are more of a sport guy then you can play with different color vintage straps with a standard buckle. You can then take the time to keep your eye out for the used 1500 two tone bracelet when one shows up on the bay or at a local watch shop.

I agree with both of you..
I have done leather straps before...some remade and some custom. The issue, which I did not explain is that this is the watch of a friend he wants a bracelet, and buying one off the 'bay or directly I assume is a large gamble in the world of Rolex since there are so many good fakes of watches and I assume bracelets. I asked if anyone knows someone you can trust outside of a Rolex dealer?
