For me, its one of the hardest Rolex to picture well. I am always experimenting with different straps. But I think your version on bracelet is about as good as it gets.

The problem is, its not so aesthetically pleasing as, say, the 6610 or 1016. They have charm and style. The 1655 actually has neither, in my view. What it does have is something unique - it doesn't really look like a Rolex. It has that fixed bezel and that crazy orange hand. It is special because its a Rolex odity. That is how I see it.
And of course, I own one. So I am clearly a fan, and included it in my vintage collecting 5-watch article, so clearly am a fan.

Not the glamour of the Explo Is, in my opinion.
