Today I was fortunate to acquire a 5513 maxi dial with a wonderful patina... (thanks to T, P, K).   And I decided to take a few photos of this superb example of a mark 1 maxi dial.   Case is in minty fresh condition.    Also included some recent purchases as well.   Hope you enjoy the photos.

not that I am a big fan of doubel signed dials, but I am so in love with the 16550!

I am also not a usual fan of double signature dials but the  Tiffany creme dial 16550 is just a beauty. Alsoi I forgot to thank Albert for my new to me 5513 maxi!  

......but beware Nicolas's question...I fear he is leading you to a Genuinely Masochistic Theme.

With these vintage I think it is a balance of quickly acquiring some,key references that you like and then upgrading these ref  with more superb examples as they come available.  For now  I think I will stick with a handful of references for now.  But a 1665 mark 2 or 4 is likely next or an L series 1016 matte dial.  Or... Nothing until it strikes me.  My fave now is still my 5508 red triangle  that I'm enjoying. 

Those are some great objectives. I would say, if considering a Mk2 or Mk4, go for the latter. I have owned both and can say without any hesitation that the two watches are VERY different with the Mk2 having something "extra". 

I agree I recently saw a superb mk2 and it was truly 'special'.   Patience is the name of the vintage game it seems!  Thanks also for your excellent moderation of the forum.
