Colder than a Nato, too. But the choice is good.
As for the watch in itself, I agree.
It took me years before finding mine.
But now, this is one of my favourite Vintage rolex.
A must have, in a vintage Rolex collection.

This is a most interesting model from Rolex, which I learned to appreciate thanks to our dear friend Nicolas.
He is completely responsible of turning me so fond of the 1655, after many years of not paying the least attention.
After reading the great report and pictures he published here at Purists some time ago, I got the urgent need of getting one for my collection. Now is a watch I enjoy so much on my wrist!
Not so nice like yours, here is a picture of mine, straight seconds hands, and faded orange hand.

I has a solid place in any collection
It is a simple one to collect unlike a Daytona with 25 variations. You can really nail it with one or to small variations and just focus on quality. I know a lot of people don't look at it that way but I feel you have a good chance to get a good example.

Although a nice straight hand like yours would be very nice to add...
I love the earlier one with straight hand and thicker font on the bezel
But patience is needed to find a good one
