Rolex

It seems that posts tend to be dominated by non-Milgausses, especially Subs. I tried on a Sub, Gmt II and Milgauss today. All are great watches but I was surprised at how much I liked the clean dial of the Milgauss and its case. Are there those out there who feel the same way? Also, how is the ruggedness, accuracy, and overall long term value of the Milgauss compared to the Subs? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

the Milgauss is just easier to wear on a daily basis.

Once you own both a sub and a Milgauss, the problem is resolved.  this may however take a certain amount of time to acheive.

My 1st Rolex is a Milgauss. The Subs is like beer. Most people hate the taste the first time they try it but later on they will be drinking it for most of their adult life.

A funny note is that after you end up with a sub you wonder why it takes you so long and you will never want to part with it.

Am not saying the Milgauss is a lesser watch they're different. Like Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Not one is lesser from the other but different.

Ruggedness and accuracy? Both will be ticking  for long long time after rounds of beating.

Longterm value? Money wise I can't help you on that and probably you shouldn't use it as a benchmark to judge the watch either. It kills the enjoyment and a risky game that waste alot of time if aren't doing it as a profession.

ruggedness, my take is Sub over Milgauss

accuracy, both are fantastic

long term value=Intrinsic

Hope you make one choice.  No right, no wrong.

If you want to compare the Vintage, the funny thing is that the Sub was by far more popular than the Milgauss, which didn't sell well.

If you go to the modern playground, the Milgauss is not the first Rolex on which people would go, but compare a Green milgauss with a Sub, I don't know which one I would prefer... I would say the Green Milgauss, much funnier and crazier than the Sub, even the Kermit.

As for long term value, no opinion, here, as I don't have a crystal ball. I would just say that I'd go on the one I love the most.
