Hello to all Rolex enthusiasts
My name is René Rodríguez from Mexico City.
I have been wandering arround rolex.watchprosite from some time ago,
learning from all of you and enjoying all your posts and pictures.
This is going to be my first but not last (I hope) contribution I think.
So please, excuse me in advance for any mistake.
I've been keeping myself away from modern rolexes, but then I found vintage ones, OH MY!
The other night I was checking on watchprosite while wearing one of my last acquisitions,
then I realized how beautiful and addicting is rolex vintage plexi.
Whether in dim light or sunlight, when it gets a small rainbow.
The moon light reflecting on it's crystal, plexi crystal.
Well, truth be told, it is my computer's reflection (Ha ha!)
Sorry! I was just feeling a little bit poetic
What makes you realize you've caught watch craziness (I mean, watch Coo-coo)?
It is when you start to you look at your watch and get that smile upon your face...
So, speaking about poetry, here's my humble attempt:
As the moon is coming out
I wonder what time is it
so I look down, just find...
something magical on my wrist.
Thank you for reading.
René

You're right, René, the plexy is a very important detail on a Vintage ( Rolex ).
Could you imagine the same watch with a crystal?
It is a window on the soul of the watch.
Bienvenido aqui, Compadre.
Nicolas.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do.
I really think the plexi on vintage rolexes is a feature that increases their charisma.
Gracias compadre!
You´re a legend in this forum and I feel so thankful to learn from you!
Thank you for your welcome.
The plexi, the indexes, the honeycomb dial, the flutting on the bezel...
there are so many details that make fall in love with a watch!
Recibe un abrazo amigable desde estas tierras
René
to add some nice 6538, 1680, 5512 or 5513 maybe?
Let's the hunt beggin!
By the way, that Tudor BC of yours is really fantastic!
From what I read you really got infected by the Vintage Rolex virus.
It will require a lot of work, time, and sacrifices, but it is, in my opinion, worth it, if you compare all that with the pleasure you'll get.
Take your time and enjoy each step of this adventure.
Un abrazo desde esas frias tierras francesas.
Nicolas.
I'm very infected now, that I've started to scare my family and girlfriend! He he
I'll gladly accept any advice fron such experts as you.
I've just seen a 5512 at the wrist of a vintage seller...mmm...I wonder...
Saludos hasta esas hermosas tierras francesas Nicolas!
I wanted to share with you this pictures of a nice vintage watch,
but now that you say it...
Why don´t you rolex fans post some pictures of your vintage plexi?
Thank's for your kind words!
René
So, I see that I'm not the only poet!
Like the waves of the ocean at night, misterious
Very good line.
Instead...I'm thinking...
what about a beautiful book full of vintage rolex and forum member's poetry?
Sounds good to me. What do you think?
So let's your vintage rolex show up!
Thank's my friend.
René
It is great to read you!
