Rolex

I’ve been wearing my DS for the last two days, I got the warm fuzzies the whole time, just knowing what this watch is really capable of.

Its not the prettiest watch out there but it not suppose to be, the beastliness of the DeepSea is beauty of it. The longer I live with it the more I love it so far (this is rare for me).I almost missed out on this brilliant watch because of my uncertainty from a few negative reviews on it.

I’m curious how many Purist brothers and sisters rockin the DeepSea also .

Not the best Picture's ever...just wanted to give my one and only Rolex some quick and deserving love .

This is the meanest & baddest from Rolex and 43mm is no big deal!  100% agreement on the bracelet.

I am with u on this one. First  impression not that alluring but once on the wrist it becomes a stunner!

I put this one from Rolex amongst those like AP offshores or the PAMs!  Very macho indeed.

But I'm rather ambivalent about it, I must admit. Sure, Rolex made the most bad-ass and extreme diver that you can take to hell and back, but it also represents a missed opportunity to make a - in my views - a perfect time watch.

What I love about it is the matte dial, maxi hands and hour plots, the domed crystal and the bezel.

I wished they would have skipped the 4K meter rating and kept it at 1,200 meters and therefor avoided the whole ring lock system (sure, one doesn't think about it with a quick glance but this model is truly the NASCAR of Rolex with all the text on it) and by doing that they could have stopped the thickness at e.g. 15mm and cut down the weight with at least 20%.  Skipping the ring lock system would also have allowed for a larger dial if they wanted instead of the regular-sized dial suppressed under the +5mm crystal which frankly gives it bit of Hulk/cheap impression.

Again, the watch oozes quality, innovation and superlative engineering but at the same time, it is a missed opportunity and total overkill.

Even for the toughest task of all - baby feeding!

As the bracelet is a bit too narrow, compared to the body builded case.

With the Nato, it attenuates this impression.
