Rolex

Gentlemen,

I was happy to get the latest Sub last Friday. All observations regarding new case, bezel and bracelet apply. Great watch, great quality, fantastic construction - but I am a vintage guy!

Yes, as a Rolex watch ,we can feel its quality, but when we are used to Vintage Subs, it can look very chunky.

Can we get used to its thicker dimensions, and to this bracelet which now looks a bit too narrow, like on the GMT?

I think so.

Why?

Because I'm  still in love with the GMT 116 710, and the new Sub looks like a GMT.

I think the new sub looks really nice. I have only ever owned vintage Rolex, but I am very tempted. I also really like the new explorer. However, I am going to try to wait for the 114060 to be released, as I think that will look even better. In my view, Rolex has done a really good job with this year's revamps. Thanks for the pictures.

Afterall, Green is for Rolex

adds a nice touch and distinguishes it as an anniversary model. I'm more refering to the new SS sub 116610LV with the green face though.I wonder if many would choose a green face watch over black if it wasn't for the Rolex name?

but had a look at one last week and really liked the green dial with moire effect.I like the green very much on the new LV.

which I haven't, may sway opinions.I'm looking forward to checking them out.

Ok the kermit looks meaningful with green bezel...

I havent get a chance to look at 116610LV so cant conclude on my personal feel yet. 

However in general, I'm not too sure how this move will be accepted in this part of the globe cos there is a meaning to the green face (dial for a watch) in Asia's context.

We describe when a person is in shock or scared the hell out of himself, the person's face will turn green.

So a green dial means...

 

connotation in Asian culture. eg. green hat.
