
...to the previous two responses that I am a bit cynical about the pro hunter offering. It seems to be that the original 14060M has been "stripped" of much of its saleable, high value components - original bracelet, dial, and hands - replaced by aftermarket parts and a $10 NATO strap. I don't know about the nature of the black coating, but to reach the high cost of this piece, it better be able to stop a shotgun blast!

Rolex does not back up those ‘watches’, you are better of and safer with a G-Shock.
You can finely ‘coat (PVD)’ your watch, any watch for 500€, it is a personal choice.
Falsely marketing those ‘pieces’, in knowledge that Rolex worldwide would forever not recognize those pieces under any circumstance, that is to me poor business practise. Who are ‘pro-hunter’ & ‘black concept’ companies? How can you possibly count on them to service or provide warranty for those pieces that require Rolex parts.
Often less is more, in this case it is so much more for
so much less!
