Hello:

    Can anyone tell me much about the OYSTER LEIGH model. I have one that my father left me and even the guarantee that came with it. The watch was bought in 1948. The number on it is 452106. it is much smaller than the EXPLORER which is the watch Dad bought to replace it.

but I have never heard of a dial bearing his name.

     Thanks for the reply. The watch definately has OYSTER LEIGH on the face of the dial. My father and his family spent a good deal of time in Florida in the early part of 1900's but that is the only connection I can think of to Florida.

   If someone could tell me how to post a photo on this forum I woud submit one.

I recommend highly that you bring your watch to a local AD (Authorized Dealer) and see if they can provide info for you.  Hope this helps.
